On herons nesting grounds...




We reached our destination, after a 7 km walk in the woods. Finally the marsh is right in front of us, with 5 nests, all occupied, it's an amazing sight.

The Great Blue Heron is one of my favorite birds, it's big, and looks awkward sometimes, but I have a respect for this master fisherman. He stands proud quietly, and lifts off in such a graceful flight...
